There's less than two weeks left for local governments to apply for Round Four funding under the Bridges Renewal Program.

Proposals opened 7 January and will close at 11.59pm on 5 February.

Round Four is only open to local governments, which are eligible to apply for funding for up to two timber bridges that will enhance access for local communities or facilitate higher productivity vehicle access.

The Australian Government will contribute up to 50% of the total project cost of successful projects, up to a maximum of $700,000 for one bridge or $1.4 million for two bridges in the same local government area.

Round Four of the BRP will provide funding of up to $80 million to 2022-23.

Visit the Australian Government's website for information on how to apply, or email bridgesrenewal@infrastructure.gov.au.
