CEO's column: 2018 IPWEA conferences – lock them in

IPWEA’s conferences, whether presented by Australasia or each of our Divisions, offer real value for money.

We keep the registrations prices low (considerably lower than commercial conference organisers) and we provide top expert speakers who really know their topics. We’ve all experienced commercial conference organisers spamming us with their ‘must attend’ spiels. But what do they put back into the industry? What support does the industry get from these commercial operators? Their objective is simply to extract a profit out of our industry.

IPWEA’s conferences are always focused on providing best value, practical and expert speakers: plus, any conference surplus goes back into improving IPWEA’s services to you, our members.

We know that you have a choice of which conference to support, whether this is by way of investment through sponsorship or exhibiting, or whether it is through attending as a delegate or speaker. All we ask is that you give a priority weighting to supporting IPWEA’s conferences before any commercial conference operators. After all, your budget dollars for conferences can be a one-off expense, or you can make it an investment with a multiplier effect and keep the dollars turning over within our industry.

All IPWEA conferences are staged by the industry, for the industry – and we know the industry’s needs better than any others.

The resounding success our recent International Public Works Conference in Perth demonstrates that the industry respects and values IPWEA’s conferences. Thank you for this support and we look forward to your continued participation through IPWEA’s education and networking offerings of specialist conferences / congress throughout 2018, whether presented by IPWEA Australasia or its Divisions.
