Development Engineers have unbelievable knowledge of all the three waters, transportation and other services. They are crucial to new development and are a key link in the planning cycle from a bare site to the assisting in creating the visions of the developer.
They maintain standards such that inherited infrastructure meets its life cycle and that future generations will appreciate their living and working environment.
These individuals are hard to find and most Councils have at least one beavering away vetting resource consents, setting conditions, presenting evidence, giving advice, checking infrastructure/as built plans. The list goes on.
