SYNOPSIS
This course is designed to help Government agencies to understand the asset management maturity and asset performance sections of the NZ Treasury Investor Confidence Rating (ICR) and gain the most benefit from advancing capital asset management (CAM) maturity. Specifically the course:
· Introduces the CAM maturity assessment tool and the ICR process
· Details the seventeen attributes of CAM maturity and how they are assessed
· Explores the type of evidence agencies should gather to support their assessment
· Describes the use of the assessment results to drive capital asset management improvement including:
o Getting organisational buy-in
o Developing and prioritising an improvement plan
o Measuring and reporting on organisational performance
o Imbedding capital asset management as a business and usual process
o Planning for and reporting on asset performance
