Fleet & Plant Management

IPWEA FLEET continues to expand its professional development and networking opportunities for fleet practitioners.

IPWEA FLEET’s mission is to support those working, or intending to work in the management, procurement, maintenance and use of plant, vehicles & equipment. IPWEA FLEET is the leading provider of Plant and Vehicle Fleet Management reference materials and resources and provides a range of training and networking opportunities to the fleet industry.

IPWEA’s regular Plant and Vehicle Management workshops are highly regarded and now our tailored or in-house courses are increasing in popularity. Fleet Maintenance Supervisor Training and Plant and Vehicle Maintenance Safe Practice training have proven very beneficial to participants.

The Fleet Management Certificate and Fleet Management online training provide practical and industry recognised training for fleet practitioners. Rob Wilson, Manager IPWEA FLEET, who delivers the on-line training says “The certificate and the on-line training provides participants with essential need-to-know principles and techniques for best practice fleet management”.

In 2017 IPWEA FLEET will hold the inaugural IPWEA Australasian Fleet Conference. IPWEA's Executive Officer and Director Fleet Ross Moody says “The conference is a premier event and set to break new ground in Australia by bringing fleet professionals from councils, public sector agencies and the private sector together with suppliers and technical practitioners to learn how to reduce costs, leverage technology and deliver best practice fleet management”.

At IPWEA we also want to acknowledge excellence, encourage initiative and raise the profile of Fleet Management as a discipline. That’s why we have the IPWEA FLEET Achievement Award – proudly sponsored by Repco. IPWEA FLEET Chapter Award Nominees will be presented with a framed certificate in front of peers at their local IPWEA Plant and Vehicle Fleet Management Workshop in October/November. An overall National winner will be selected from the Chapter Award nominees and announced at the opening session of the IPWEA Australasian Fleet Conference in Brisbane on 23 May 2017. The National winner will be presented with a toolbox from Repco valued at $5,000 and IPWEA will provide the winner with complimentary registration to IPWEA Australasian Fleet Conference.
