Around Australia, a vital conversation with the potential to strengthen the nation's creaking infrastructure has begun.

IPWEA, in partnership with TechnologyOne, has presented the National Thought Leadership Series (NLS) to government representatives, CEOs, councillors, GMs and other key infrastructure decision-makers in Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth.

The final events will be held in Sydney on 21 June, and Adelaide on 14 July. Secure your place now.

Keynote speaker Jeff Roorda (General Manager of JRA, a TechnologyOne company) advocates a national asset management plan, covering all three levels of government and aligned with the 2016 Australian Infrastructure Plan by Infrastructure Australia and the State of the Assets Report by the Australian Local Government Association (ALGA).

While the message from the NLS is sobering – that Australia's infrastructure maintenance backlog is growing and the current planning for future infrastructure is inadequate – attendees have left optimistic about the effect a national infrastructure plan could have on the nation.
